Design Team Application Closed

Our Design Team application for February 09 - May 09 term is now closed.

We have received 46 applications for the design team call. Amazing 46 talents! We are so happy with this overwhelming experience and would like to thank each and one of you for your interest, your effort, your lovely comments and for sharing with us your amazing talents.

We would like to inform you that we are currently in the process of choosing the design team - it is not easy! The talents are overflowing and you shared with us such valuable inspirations.

We will make our final decision and the chosen design team will receive an e-mail from us starting today. You will have 48 hours to accept this invitation if you want a part of the design team. If we do not receive a reply within 48 hours, we will choose another designer.

The team will be announced here on February 1, 2009 so please watch out for it!

If you have not received an e-mail, please keep in mind that it is NOT because you are not good or you do not have a name or not enough experience. All the applications we received have all different talents, fabulous styles which makes it harder for us to choose. We apologize in advance for any heartbreak we may cause you. We have tried and we hope you will understand.

Thank you again and we hope that you will continue to share with us your talents with your takes on our sketches which will start on February 7.

Using Our Sketches for Publication Submission

We have received numerous questions / requests if our sketches can be used to enter contests or submission for publication.

We have decided that we will allow YOU to use any of our sketches as long as you seek permission prior to submitting your work. If your work has been chosen to be published or as a winner in a contest, please notify us so we can feature your work on our blog.

I hope this decision will allow you more flexibility in joining our team or joining us along with our sketches.

Design Team Wanted!

Do you love making cards? So do we!

Welcome to Card Patterns! We're a new blog that will provide card patterns/sketches for all beginner, advanced or seasonal card maker/stamper. We're happy that you've found us!

We are excited to announce that we are currently looking for seven (7) members to join us in our journey with our passion for card making. Please e-mail us your take on the sketch provided below.


Design Team Application Guidelines:

Responsibilities:

• As a Design Team member, you are required to create your take on each week of card sketches.
• Two (2) sketches will be e-mailed to you in advance for 2 weeks posting, to give you time for your other commitments.
  
• Failure to submit your work for 4 consecutive weeks will forfeit your position as a Design Team (unless advanced notice is given to us).
• This position is from February 2009 - May 2009.
  

Eligibility:

• Previous Design Team experience NOT REQUIRED. If you love card making, we'd love to have you in our team!
• This Design Team call is open to all Canada, United States and International applicants.

Compensation:

• There are no compensation for this Design Team. We are just starting so we hope you understand. If you're looking into getting published or recognition, we may be a good start. If you are having a crafter's block once in a while, this may be a good solution for you!
• Your photo and personal blog will be featured on our blog.
  
• From time to time, you may receive some sample/s from our sponsors.
  

Deadline:

• Please e-mail us (CardPatterns@gmail.com) your take on the sketch above on or before January 27, 2009 (MST) Mountain Standard Time 11:59PM.
  
• Kindly include one (1) of your most favorite card.
  
• Please include the following information on your e-mail.

1. Full Name
2. Blog Address
3. Physical Address (including your country of residence)
   
4. Phone Number

(all information that you will provide to us will be strictly confidential and will not be lent or sold to any third parties for any purpose).

• Please limit your attachment to 1MB.
  
• Chosen Design Team will be announced on January 31, 2009.
  
• First pattern/sketch will start on February 7, 2009.
  

If chosen:

• Please be ready to provide some information about yourself such as when did you start card making, why you love it and what inspires you.
• You will be asked to provide a photo (color or black & white).
